Essential Activities
Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered IT environments
• Operate on premises and online to identify and fix both urgent and ongoing problems associated with reliability, security, capacity, accessibility, and overall productivity
• Deploy, configure and debug applications on Windows Servers
• Install and configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7
• Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
• Plan information technology topologies including virtualized environments and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud designs
• Support and manage Microsoft Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office and Office 365, phone communications, and Internet access
• Plan and implement upgrades to Microsoft desktop OS, Windows Server, AD, and Microsoft Exchange Server
• Design and validate protection policies including on-premises high availability, fault tolerance, backup/restore and AV as well as offsite or cloud-based disaster recovery
• Efficient network design and 24x7 server monitoring and alerting

• 10+ years background in desktop, server management and IT Infrastructure support (new software installation, machine provisioning, problem isolation and repair)
• 5+ years consulting background
• Ability to troubleshoot application problems such as workstation software compatibility issues, server problems, data service issues, and access issues
• Experience in business productivity software support (Microsoft product family)
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a virtual office setting, providing reliable follow-up and utilizing remote access and wireless connectivity tools
• Operates without supervision and demonstrates strong sense of responsibility and initiative
• Has a working understanding of network layers L1-L7 and strong troubleshooting capabilities in layers 1 through 4
